WOOL APPRAISAL OVER
Day.—Reported late: Woolworths (Byd.).
Good progress was made in valuing the first Auckland wool appraisal of ■ the season, and the appraisers completed their work on Saturday evening and left during the week-end for Napier, where an appraisement opens to-morrow. Prompt date for payments to growers will, as usual, be a fortnight after completion of the appraisal, about NovemMr. F. Binney, chairman of the Auckland Woolbrokers' Association, said today that the wool generally was up to last year's standard and, while Bkirting had been satisfactory, in some cases there was room for improvement.
