NINETIETH BIRTHDAY
(0.C.) THAMES, this day. A pioneer settler of Cheviot (North Canterbury) and Dennison (West Coast) districts, Mrs. A. Hannah celebrates her ninetieth birthday to-day. Born in Scotland, she arrived at L.yttelton in 1876 in the ship Jessie Osborne. Her husband took up land on the Cheviot Estate and later went to Dennison. Her husband died two years ago. Mrs. Hannah has been living with her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Morgan, of Kopu, for some years. She is hale and hearty and enjoys good health. She has been a keen supporter all her life of the Methodist Church.
