GAMA'S PROTEGE WILL HAVE TO FIGHT TO BEAT BLOMFIELD

Among the wrestling fraternity Blom- 1 field, of Auckland, hag a ring name that is tihe height of modesty. He's "Lofty," and that is all. Yet Lofty, of all of them, deserves a tough-sounding title. He has met the toughest of them, and mostly he «has won. If we must stand by plain "batty," therefore, let ui add this label: •the man who can always be depended upon to rouse the fans to heights of <«xeitement." On Monday Lofty will face Jbget Singh, one of the hardest men in iSu} Indian school of the Great Game. .In bis matches in New Zealand this year <£aget has shown himself an outstanding grappjer. Not only is he a master of. the science of wrestling, but he can give and take hard knocks with the best. He will need that ability on Monday night, ■■far Blomfield is rapidly regaining form, and he will make the going hard and rugged. Against him Singh will be using all his wrestling guile in an endeavour to trap Lofty into his favourite deathlock —but Singh will have to be careful, for Lofty, too, has his favourite, the octopus damp. It should be a most interesting contest.
