MT. EDEN WEDDING
CRAWFORD—GILMORE BRIDE IN IVORY SATIN Mount Eden Congregational Church was the scene of a charming wedding on Thursday evening, when Miss Kathleen Bartlett Gilmore elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. p! Gilmore, of Mount Eden, was married to Mr. John Alexander Reid Crawford, only son of Mr. J. C. Crawford and the late Mrs. Crawford, of Remuera. The Rev. Frank de Lisle officiated and Mr. Hooton was the organist. A solo was sung in the church by Mrs. T. McKnight. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful frock of ivory slipper satin, which fell to the ground in a circular braided train. The veil, which was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, and worn over the bride's face as she entered the church, was delicately embroidered with true lovers' knots. She carried a shower bouquet of orchids, tulips and roses. Attending the bride were Miss Gwen Gilmore, sister of the bride and Miss Ethel Crawford, sister of the bridegroom, both of whom were frocked in honey cloque cut oneflowing lines. Horseshoe shaped bouquets of autumn-tinted orchids, tulips and blue Argentine sweet pea were carried by each, while matching sprays were worn in their hair. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. F. D. Jellard as best man, and by Mr. Mervyn Allen as groomsman. A reception was later held at the Parnell Park Kiosk, where Mrs. P. Gilmore, assisted by Mrs. E. G. Woolcott on behalf of the bridegroom, received the guests. »
