TOO MANY CHILDREN
(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. In a notice of question in the House of Representatives yesterday, addressed to the Minister of Defence, Mr. O'Brien (Government, Westland) asked if steps would be taken to remove the large family disqualification from men who wished to serve as officers in the Home Guard. He said that at the present time men with special qualifications had been refused appointments because they had too many children.
