LATE SIR GEORGE TROUP
TRIBUTE BY PRESBYTERY
Reference to the prominent part played by the late Sir George Troup in the work of the Presbyterian Church in New Zealand was made by the moderator, the Rev. W. R. Milne, at a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery last evening. Sir George Troup was a very devoted elder of St. John's Church, Wellington, over a considerable period, said Mr. Milne. He was one of the founders of the Bible class movement in New Zealand, and had made a valuable contribution to Presbyterian Church life and to Christian causes.
The Presbytery observed a few moments' silence as a tribute.
