Bay. j * * * ♦ Overseas visitors to Auckland are Mrs. W. D. R. Clarke, of Bombay, and Mrs. L. F. Newton, of Sydney, who are staying at the Grand Hotel. * * * * Mrs. M. A. Brook, of Coromandel, is visiting her mother, Mrs. H. B. Legge, 9, Rawenga Road, St. Helier's Bay. * * * * Miss Kathleen Gavegan, who has been visiting Australia, has returned and is staying . with her mother, Mrs. Kitty Gavegan, at the Astor Hotel.
* * * ♦ Mrs. A. F. D. East, assistant centre' commander of the Red Cross; V.A.D.'s,, will leave to-morrow fori Palmerston North to attend a North Island committee meeting. * * * * Mrs. E. M. Wray, centre commandant of the Red Cross V.A.D.'s, left for Palmerston North last night to attend a North Island committee meeting. She is the guest of her sister, Mrs. B. R. Gibbons. * * * * Mrs. J. C. O'Brien, Awatea Road, Parnell, left yesterday for Dunedin. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. W. Mackenzie, who has been spending several months in Auckland.
