PERFORMANCE AT STADIUM MINISTER OF LABOUR KICKS OFF At Western Springs on Saturday artemoon eight bands, drawn up in "Victory V" formation played a selection of tunes, which included the march "Anzac No. 1," specially arranged as a tribute to the soldiers ol the last war A demonstration of the •"Serpentine" march was given by the St. Andrew's Pipe Band. Webb, kicked off In a football game in which South Auckland was successful (11—8) in annexing the Les Lees League Challenge Cup from tbe All Golds after a closely contested game, in which former well-known exponents of the League code took part. For South Auckland tries were scored by O. Knight. W. Miki and J. While, one being converted by c. Siddles. R. Hargreaves and T. Hanlon scored tries for the All Golrfs and C. Dufty converted one Mr. A. E. Smith was referee. A wrestling match of three flve-mlnutc rounds between M. Donovan and A. Edwards resulted In a draw, no falls being registered. Mr. V.
