DEATH IN ENGLAND
AUCKLAND SERGEANT-PILOT The death from injuries of Ser-geant-Pilot William Robert Dil was advised by the Air Ministry in a cablegram received by his parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dil, of 13. Tennyson Street, Birkenhead. Their eldest son, Sergeant-Pilot Dil was born at New Plj'mouth 22 years ago. He was educated at the Birkenhead Primary f^T 1 * «# e i^ orth ? >te H 'S h School, the Auckland Teachers' Training College and the Auckland University
Sergeant-Pilot Dil was relieving paster at several country schools 9£*°*s peing posted to the staff of the Birkenhead School just prior to joining the Royal New Zealand Air Force in September last year He ™ aine .£ at Levin, Harewood and Woodbourne. and left for Canada ISSS A E ril - He was a member of the Piha Surf Club and the Northcote Rugby League Club, and was also prominent as a table tennis player
