RUGBY REFEREES
Interesting Canterbury Trio When Wellington was victorious at Christchurch on Saturday, beating Canterbury 14—8 (after being down B—3 at the interval), the referee was Mr. C. G. Crawford. He was a useful scorer in minor matches in the 192526 New Zealand cricket tour of Australia, and against Northern Districts, at Maitland, he hit a century. In the curtain-raiser at Lancaster Park, when Victoria College (Wellington) beat Canterbury College 9—3 (scoring two tries in the last five minutes), Dr. D. McK. Dlckson controlled the game. He was an Otago forward in the 1925 New Zealand team in Australia which was captained by Jim Donald, Wairarapa. Flight-Lieutenant E. .A. Osmers was referee in the Canterbury premiershipsection final between Army (9) and Technical (6).
