HOBSON REMEMBERED
Under the patronage of the Mayor, 'Mr. J. A. C. Allum, the 17th annual 'pilgrimage to the grave of Captain Hobson, the first Governor of New Zealand, will take place at the Symonds Street cemetery at 2.30 p.m. on Wednesday. Captain Hobson died in 1842, after being in office for two years.
