" j Foreign Coin was a starrer in the Flying Handicap on the opening day at Awapuni. ! but he was last to leave the mark, and nitimately fiuisheel tenth on a rapidly drying track, the six furlongs taking another three-year-old, Par Avion. 1.14 2 fo run. On Saturday the track was rapidly getting heavy—the result o: 1 showers—by the time the Guineas came j up for decision, and the mile took the I winner 1.47 4-5 to cover.
The Rinemaster colt Par Avion was compelled to cover some extra ground, but was in third place, behind Buira Sahib, once straightened up for the run to the judge, and he was not going nearly as well at Foreign Coin over the last Vurlonu.
Buna Sahib, a bay colt by Buhtndshar front Provence, tan a surpi isiiitrly race for Mr. Frank Ormond until his condition gave out. He has furnished into a magnificent specimen of the thoroughbred. and he should be at about the top of his form by the time the Ureal Northern Derby comes along.
