CRASH IX CANADA
MONCTON (Canada), Aug. 4
Sergeant G. A. L. Webby, of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, sole survivor of a three-man crew of a bomber which crashed in the swampy underbrush near the Moneton Airport yesterday afternoon, was said by medical attendants to-night to have a good chance for recovery, despite serious injuries. Sergeant Webby sustained a skull fracture, double fracture of the jaw and lacerations about the head and face. The bodies of Captain Alfred J. Williams. Winnipeg, pilot, and Frank G. Godfrey. Glencoe, Ont.. radio operator, killed in the crash, are being forwarded to Winnipeg and Toronto. The cause of the crash has not been determined.
