NEGRO ARRESTED
SOLVES SEX CRIME WAVE Rec. 1 p.m. WASHINGTON", Aug. 29. The police announce that the confession of Jarvis Roosevelt Catoe, 35. a negro servant, lias solved the wave of sex crimes in the capital which caused Mrs. Roosevelt to warn thousands of women clerks to beware of strangers. A Congressional investigation was also carried out resulting in police reorganisation. The police said ihat Catoe confessed to having strangled two Government clerks in New York and a matron and four negro women. He also admitted having criminallv assaulted six women. He is being questioned regarding crimes dating back to 1934.
