LEAGUE COMPETITIONS
QUESTION OF -CURTAILMENT The control board of the Auckland Rugby League last evening diecuesed the question of curtailment of the «enior competitions, ■which if played right out will extend well into October. Iu view of its interesting state, hawevor, it w<*3 agreed that no action should be taken rtt present, but that the matter should be reviewed at a later meeting. A donation of £2;) was received from the ladies' committee fur the injured players' fund. The chairman. Mr. O. Grey Campbell, in acknowledging the gift, spoke most appreciably of the work being performed by the ladies' committee. The junior control board advised that the Otahuhti Club had won the third grade championship. It was decided that the Maori v. Pakena match be played for the injured players' fund. The draw for Saturday is:—Manukau v. Richmond (3 p.m.) and Xorth Shore v. Mount Albert on No. 1; Ponsonby v. Newton (3 p.m.) and Marist v. Papakura.
