BOOKMAKER FINED
(P.A.) DUNEDIN, Friday. A fine of £30 was imposed this morning on James Patrick Gorman for carrying on the business of a bookmaker. Detective Sergeant Hall said he understood Gorman was a member of an unlawful association.
The Magistrate, Mr. Bundle: I pre-! sume you refer to some Bookmakers* Association.
Mr. Hall: They call it the National Sportsmen's Association, or come such thing.
