NORTH ISLAND, CLAY BIRD HONOURS

A Successful Tourney i

The Auckland Gun Club is well pleased with the success of the North Island championship meeting, which concluded this afternoon. There were big entries In all competitions, with competitors from Haurakl Plains. Te Kuiti. Wanga- , nui Otorohanga. Hamilton and Whakatane. It was only the fact that the club had two grounds to shoot from that enabled the tourney to bo completed to-day. The results were:— First.—£so clay Match (32 entries): M. Pratt (Otorohanga), 18yds; R. Mackay (Auckland). 12 yds; C. Webber (Morrlnsville), lSyds; R. Cuuibertson (Wanganui). 15yds: G. Caie (Goldflelds), 12yds. divided the sweep money with 19 each Second.—£so match (28 entries): C. Webber (Morrlnsville). 19yds; D. P. North (Auckland). 20yds; J. Sinton (Auckland), 14yds. all shot the possible and divided first, second and third money. C. Thomasen (Goldflelds). 19yds. W. Turner (Auckland), 16yds; R. Cuthbertson (Wanganui), 15yds: A.
