In a vigorous leader your quotation of Voltaire's famous dictum on freedom of speech is something to ate note of. assailed as we are with tbe spread of dictatorship mentality. The dignified little dust-up on tbe Russian meeting has brought forth some amazing ideas from new and enthusiastic members of the council. One perfectly splendid one that fcu emerged is a simple way to get ria of those whose opinions one abhors —you simply offer to pay their fire to. say, Russia <or Germany tobM do), or instead you make a promis to give them a true soldier's farewell (cryptic phrased as they mania*?? to "help Russia, presumably pajms their own fares—cheaper still? Ore is just slightly nervous of these nw ideas spreading too much—for IBstance. supposing the public aug® on and subscribed the cash ana lost half the City Council that way. what would happen to us?
