PRESENTATION
To honour Miss Billie Bingham on her approaching marriage, members of the telegraph staff of the Chief Post Office and members of Cable and Wireless, Limited, gathered yesterday afternoon. Miss Bingham has been with the Telegraph Department for seven years, and during the past three years has worked in close contact, with Cable and Wireless. Limited.
Mr. C. Venimore, Superintendent of Telegraphs, expressed appreciation of Miss Bingham's services, and on behalf of the staff presented her with a set of fish knives and forks. Tribute was also paid her by Mr. C. T. Halsted, manager of Cable and Wireless, who asked her to accept a clock from tine staff.
Miss Bingham will return to her position temporarily after her marriage.
