CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
Birkenhead Women's Movement.— The Mayoress. Mrs. E. J. Osborne, presided. A successful "Bring and Buy" in aid of soldiers' comforts was held.
Luncheon Club.—The Auckland Women's luncheon Club held its monthly meeting in Milne's reception hall. Miss T. Brookes presiding. The speaker was Mr. Matthew Cowley. * # * *
Koyal Society of St. George.—The women members were entertained with moving pictures c-" London and the English countryside by the Rev. Bower Black at their monthly meeting in the Penwomen's Club rooms. Mrs. P. Heath Preest presided.
lucrum Club.—"Malaya" was the subject of a talk bv Mrs. Eric Price at the monthly luncheon to-day. Mrs. Price has been general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. at Singapore, and is leaving in September to take up her position as general secretary of the association in Christchurch. In the absence of the president. Mrs. \Y. H. Tarkes, Lady Wiison presided..
