(By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this «fay. The appointment of Major-General R. Young, C.8., C.M.G., D.5.0., as Director-General of the Home Guard was announced by the Government this afternoon. Major-General Young has held the appointment of Dominion Commander since the Home Guard was inaugurated in 1940, and he now vacates this appointment for the new one of Director-General, which carries with it the rank of brigadier.
