WAR LOAN TOTAL
OVER £2,339,000 TO DATE " SATISFACTORY PROGRESS" (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nash, stated to-day that the Reserve Bank has notified that subscriptions to the War Loan for the week ended Friday amounted to slightly over £2.250.000, the actual figure being £2,339.320. This, said the Minister, indicated satisfactory progress towards the £10,000,000 total required before the loan closes on September 2.
