TOKOMARU BAY CHARGES BEER AND A MOTOR CYCLE i (0.C.) GISBORNE, this day. Arising out of a ride on a motor . cycle in Tokomaru Bay by two ! drunken men, two Maori labourers, '! Chilli Tipuna (23) and Nai Coleman f (22) appeared before justices of the ' peace on a variety of charges. Each 1 1 was sentenced to two months' imprisonment ] prisonment with hard labour on • | charges of the theft of a 10-gallon • I keg of beer, valued at £2 17/, at ! Tokomaru Bay on July 20. Tipuna ' j was convicted on a charge of riding •| a motor cycle while in a state of 2, intoxication and his license was can--1 celled until June, 1934, while he was s convicted and discharged on a charge J of riding a motor cycle without 2 lights.
