"Unburn" The Cake
Cook your cake so carefully that it has no chance of burning is wise counsel, but unfortunately things don't always happen that way and we frequently clo burn the cake. Well, here is a way to "unburn" it. First carefully scrape off the burnt part all over. Next take a well-beaten egg and brush over evenly with a pastry brush. Now give a thorough dusting over with castor sugar and return the cake to a moderately hot oven for five minutes.
