AN AT HOME
YACHT SQUADRON ENJOYABLE FUNCTION The guests of honour at the annual At Home of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, which was held last night, were wives of members of the squadron who are serving overseas. There was a large attendance of members and and a programme of dancing and specially organised games was thoroughly enjoyed. During the evening several of the younger members of the squadron sold Victory badges, the proceeds of which will be donated to patriotic funds. Supper was served on the roof of the building, which had been enclosed with awnings for the occasion. Red, white and blue flowers were arranged with a large "V for Victory" badge on the centre table. The guests were received on arrival by the Commodore. Mr. M. K. Draffin, and Mrs. Draffin, who was in a'frock of deep red corded romaine with a grey fur cape. Also present were the vice-commoGore. Dr. Frank Mack.y, Mrs. Macky and Miss Mary Wilson, sister of the rear-commodore, Mr. Scott Wilson, who is serving overseas. Prior to the dance Mr. and Mrs. Draffin entertained at dinner at the Station Hotel the guests of honour whose husbands are serving overseas. They comprised Mrs. H. E Barrowclough, Mrs. N. L. Macky, Mrs. John Upton, Mrs. R. Hume. Mrs. J. Mitchelson, Mrs. A. Angel, Mrs. Home, Mrs. H. C. Colson. Mrs! A. Miller and Miss M. George, whose brother, now serving overseas, is a past commodore of the squadron.
