TWO PRISONERS
GAOL FOR RECEIVING £20 FINE FOR NEGLIGENCE Two prisoners who were found guilty by juries last week appeared before Mr. Justice Fair at the Auckland Supreme Court for sentence this morning. Edward Henry Ulett Greenfield (Mr. Noble) was sentenced to nine months' hard labour for receiving stolen property, while Gordon James Lonergan (Mr. Dickson) was fined £20, in default one month's imprisonment, for negligently driving a motor vehicle near the corner of Manukau and Great South Roads, thereby causing bodily injury.
