FIVE NOMINATIONS
NATIONAL PARTY ACTION
POSTAL, BALLOT TO BE HELD
Five nominations have been received for submission to a ballot to select a National party candidate for the Remuera seat. They are Miss E. Melville and Messrs. J. B. Butland, Bryan H. Kingston, M. J. Moodabe and A. Tronson.
The sitting member is Mr. \V. P. Endean, National party, who refrained from submitting his name to the selection ballot. Under the rules of the party, the sitting member, if called upon, must submit himself to a selection ballot. Mr. Endean was elected as a member of the Reform party at a by-election in 1930, and has held he seat since. The names will be submitted to the Dominion Council of the National party, and a ballot will then be held among the financial members of the party resident in the electorate.
