"DIGGERS' SUMMARY" ! NEWS FOR MEN OVERSEAS j "May I read that when you have 1 -finished?" This is a request commonly made by fellow "diggers" to the men overseas who receive regularly a copy of the "Diggers' News Summary," and such is the popularity of the service that there is usually a long list of waiting readers for each copy. If you have not already done so, : why not send the summary to your boy on active service and not let him rely on his mates? For 3/ the "Diggers' News Summary," together with a copy of the "Eight o'clock" Sports Edition, will be sent post free to any soldier, sailor or airman overseas for 13 weeks. Payment may be made either to the "Star" office or to vour agent. i This publication covers all the most interesting New Zealand news for the week, allowing the recipient to keep abreast of events at home, j The news is in consise form, permitting the reader to learn the essentials of happenings in the Dominion without having to wade j through a mass of detail.
