ELECTION OF OFFICERS At Iho h1111>i;iI lucctiiiy of the Auckland Labour I'lub. .Mr. .1. I'urtell was elected president lor the ensuing year. Uthei officers elected were as follows: Vicepresident. Mr. L. Marks: secretary. Mr. .1. •Jones; treasurer. Mr. K. Walker; executive. Messrs. 'I'. Greenlialgli. C. Matthews. X. Finch. A. Coulam and l». Beckett. The report referred to the loss of members of the club, principally due to the war, and the institution o! a scheme permitting Labour party branches and trade unions to affiliate with the club on the basis of fid a member per year. It was also indicated that as a result of this experiment the club's financial position had improved considerably.
