I stated once before thai, being British born. I could not imagine Britain losing this war. From a very early age I. like all New Zealanders, was taught that the British Navy was the most formidable in the world—our Navy men tic ®ok gallant, the best trained, the best led, the greatest and finest men that ever sailed the sea. In the last war, bong of adult age. I followed their every move and verified this bedtime story of our youth. In this war I have done the same. In all the years between I have never met a single soul who, for one second, doubled Ai*"" or was given a single opportunity to doubt this.
