MARJST IN THE BOOM
Two Notable Wins In Capital City Last Week j In 10 senior Rugby matches plaved ! on Saturday last at Wellington, o'nlv one side failed to score. Surprisingly, : this was the Hutt (Army) team. For all its wealth of talent it had to lower its colours to Marist Brothers 1 Old Boys, who registered this season's biggest surprise. The match, played at Athletic Park, had several thousand enthusiasts keenly interested, and as Marist, from their promising beginning, showed no signs of wilting excitement ran high. Marist's 9—o win was no fluke. < Previously unbeaten in this vear's < first division Association football games, Seatoun had its colours ; lowered by Hospital, who defeated the leaders by 4 goals to 1. Marist had a win over Waterside (holders of the Chatham Cup), also 4—l, and thus drew level with Seatoun. 1
