DOBSON MINE IDLE
ACTION BV UNION (F.A.I GREYMOI'TH. this day. The Do'osor* mine was idle to-day, the Miners' I'nion having announced the cessation of work until the Grey Valley Colliery Company abides by the aljeged decision of the independent chairman concerning the recent dispute. Union ollicials state the chairman gave a decision in their favour on the request that there should be- weekly instead of fortnightly measurement o£ coal won by the miners on piece work, and the company this morning notified that it would not abide by the decision.
