WAR MEMORIAL
I was amazed to read in Saturday s issue of the neglect of the roll ot honour at the Mount Albert District School. The base excuse that there is no room for it in the new builduig will not suffice. It would seem that progress can find no room for tne memories of those whose sacrifice assisted in making progress possibleCommon decencv demands that these memorials be renovated and restorea to a place of honour in a school, the motto of which is -Honour before all," lest down the vears will conie to those comrades who suryivea them, and to tho.-e who mourned ana still mourn thorn, the empty «*°j* of an emptv boast, "We will remember them." 10/116*
