ORDER OF ST., JOHN
1000 MEMBERS TO PARADE The annual church parade of the St. John Ambulance will be held on Sunday next, June 22, at St. Mary's Cathedral, Parnell. Archbishop Averill will be the preacher, and it is expected that Bishop Simkin, Bishop of Auckland, will also take part in the service. Each year the annual church parade is held on the Sunday nearest to June 24, St. John's Day. The collection will be for the St. John ophthalmic hospital, Jerusalem, one of the major charges of the order. Owing to the increased membership due to the war it is anticipated that over 1000 members of the association will be on parade. The salute will be taken by Commissioner F. J. Hutchinson.
