Gabrie, in which, on behalf i of the Yugoslav community in Wel- ! lington, he expressed appreciation of i the great struggle by the British peoples for the preservation of democracy and their support of the ■ war effort. i Another recent contribution re- : ceived by the board was a cheque for I-10 from the Chatham Islands ' Jockev Ciub. this representing the proceeds of a patriotic race meeting held earlier in the year. A letter accompanying the cheque asked that i'loo be devoted to the Lord Mayor of London's Relief Fund and the . balance to the National Patriotic I Fund.
