CONVERSION LOAN
CIiOKKS NEXT SATI'ItDAV fßy Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.") WELLINGTON, this day. Applications for conversion in response to the Government's offer to holders of Government securities maturing in July and November this year and in March, 194.'!, now total £17.034,000. In giving this figure in a statement yesterday, the Minister of Finance. * Mr. Nash, said that requests for repayment amounted to only £240,000. These figures, said Mr. N'ash. were most satisfactory, but he was concerned lest some people were under the impression that conversion of their securities would be effected automatically without any action on their part. The choice of conversion or repayment lay entirely with the investor, but those who had so far not taken any steps to complete the forms sent to them should do so without delay as the Government's offer closed on Saturday.
