HEATING ON FARMS
ADVICE TO BE SOUGHT After a discussion on the question of hot water heating systems on; farms, the Auckland Metropolitan, Milk Council, at a meeting this' morning, decided to write to the Auckland and Waitemata Power Boards setting out complaints received concerning electrical systems and asking for suggestions as to how the position might be remedied. The secretary. Mr. N. R. Chapman, reported that an official of the Auckland Power Board considered that complaints of the water not being hot enough need not occur, as such trouble could always be got over by the installation of larger elements oi thermostats. Mr. Chapman explained further that an oflieer of the Agricultural Department stated that in all new sheds being built, on farms he was insisting on the installation of a proper steam steriliser.
