Week ended June 3: Total of 170oz from 32,013 yards in 105 3 , i hours. Argo.—2Boz from 8000 yards in 109 hours. Snowy River. —51oz from 17,000 yards in 105 hours. Big River (Reefton).—Crushing return for May: 80 tons yielded 103oz melted gold, estimated value £790, in addition 15cwt of concentrates were saved, valued at £25. Gillespies Beach.—Fortnightly return: 460z In 240 hours, from 26.300 yards. Clutha River.—Weekly return: 650z In 125 hours. Blackwater Mines (Reefton). —May. crushed 1822 tons for 894 fine ounces, inducing clean-up of old mill, value £7510: working expenses, excluding ordinary and war duty. £5907: development. £318; capital expenditure. £250. The low return was due to labour troubles, which are now settled. Okarlto (Westland).—36',ioz for 179 hours. Wellington Alluvials (N.5.W.).—872 fine ounces from 230,000 yards in 554 hours.
