The new Labour Ministry of New Se>uth Wales was announced last night as follows:—Premier and Treasurer Mr. W. J. McKell; deputy Premier Chief Secretary and Minister of Mines, Mr. J. M. Baddeley; Minister of National Emergency Services, Mr. R. J. Heffron; Attorney- General, Mr. C. E. MartinAgriculture and Forests, Mr. w! Dunn; Education, Mr. C. Evatt, K.C.Labour, Industry and Social Services', Mr. H. Knight; Justice and VicePresident of the Executive Council, Mr. R. Downing, M.L.C.; Public Works, Mr. J. Cahill; Health. Mr. C. Kelly; Local Government and Housing. Mr. James FcGirr; Lands, Mr. J. Tully; Transport, Mr. M. O'Sullivan; Assistant Ministers, Messrs. C. Lazzarini and W. Dickson, M.L.C.; Speaker, Mr. D. Clyne. The new Ministry has been sworn in by the Governor, Lord WakehurstAfter the distribution of preferences the former Minister of Health, Mr. H. P. Fitzsimons, has been returned with a majority of 381. The former Premier, Mr. A. Mair, has won the Albury seat. State of Parties The final state of parties is likely to be:— Labour 55 U.A.P. and U.C.P 26 Independents 9 Surprise has been caused by the loss to the U.A.P. of another seat, when the distribution of preferences in Gloucester resulted in the Independent candidate being returned. Three seats are still undecided, and one of these is likely to be won by an Independent. The distribution of preferences has assured Official Labour of 55 seats, in a House of 90. In addition to the three Ministers already defeated, the fourth, the Chief "Secretary, Mr. Tonking, was yesterday beaten by the Official Labour candidate. There are still seven seats to bei decided.
