A Message to New Zealand Racing Enthusiasts Stud and Race Track Reviewed The special racing section of the "New Zealand Farmer Weekly" is a feature which has gained wide approval front breeders and racing enthusiasts throughout the Dominion. Owing to difficulties imposed by the war, the daily press is compelled to reduce the amount of space devoted to racing, but the "N.Z. Farmer Weekly" has been able to maintain and develop this valuable section. All the Important News Published each week under the general title of "Stud and Race Track," these pages are conducted by recognised authorities on the pedigree and performance of the thoroughbred. A weekly review of Australian racing, all important news from overseas, and comments on New Zealand trotting complete the section. Appreciation of Readers TJe paper has reason to be proud of the reputation which the Stud and Race Track" pages have established among owners and breeders throughout the country, extracts from a few of many letters received show the appreciation of readers, as well as the interest and profit they have derived from regular reading of this particular feature. "I om sending this note to soy how much I enjoy reading the racing ond breeding notes in the 'New Zealand Former' under the name of 'Blair Athol.' I was talking to someone at Wairakei about them the other day, ond my friend agreed with me that these columns should be more forcibly brought before men interested in racing. I am sure that if racing owners were circularised, and specimen pages sent to them, they would be glad to subscribe to such very interesting matter."—Hon. Eliot R. Davis. "I read with great interest your summing up of various sire lines in a recent issue. Your leaders to me are very interesting—quite in a class of their own so far os New Zealand and Australia are concerned."—Mr. K. Austin, Elderslie Stud, Oamaru. "I would like to voice my appreciation of the great service you ore rendering in the 'New Zealand Farmer Weekly' to all connected with racing and breeding."—Mr. J. H. W. Angerstein, Taronaki.
