STEADY SALE AT FEILDING. (°- c -> FEILDING, this day. Although there was nothing outstanding In the way of values in any part of the Feilding sale yesterday, there was a steady demand throughout and practically everything was sold under the hammer. A much smaller entry than last week of fat sheep held firm at late rates with the exception of ewes, which did not measure up to quality requirements. Extra prime wethers. 23/4 !° 01/.! : prime dc - 21/7 to 22/1 °: unfinished. 18/ to 20/7; extra prime ewes. 11/4 to 12/10; prime do.. 10/ to 11/3; others. 8/6 to 9/10; prime lambs. 20/4 to 22/10: light, 17/7 to so/1. The demand for store sheep wat patchy, with best quality lambs making good sales. Aged ewes were slow of sale, but two-tooths made full market rates. Best ewe lambs, 25/9 to 27/9; others. 18/1 to 20/1: good black-face lambs. 13/ to 14/; second grade, 10/ to 12/; small, 7/ to 9/; best wether lambs, 13/3 to 16/: fair sorts. 11/9 to 12/8; others. 6/7 to 10/3; two-tooth ewes, 28/ to 28/3: five-year do.. 8/1 to 12/6; cull ewes, 5/2. Very few grown store cattle were yarded, the bulk of the station lines being up to 2'i-year sorts, for which there was a fair clearance. Beef was in good demand and a keen sale took place for a substantial yarding.
