ANCIENT FORESTERS
CARING FOR SOLDIERS
The annual meeting of the Auckland District Ancient Order of Foresters will be opened in the Foresters' Hall. Albert Street, this evening, and will be conducted by Mr. D. H. Milligan. district chief ranger. Delegates present will represent 34 courts. ,
The balance-sheet of the society for the year shows the following payments: Sick pay £1279. medical fees £4558. funeral expenses £70S. old members' relief £130, benevolent
grants £64. public hospitals £3G9 and £855 paid to inmates of hospitals. The society is paying the contributions of its members who serve with the forces overseas. At present there are well over 100 of these and the number is rapidly increasing. The meeting will continue throughout Saturday when the election of officers will take place.
