U.S. STOPS EXPORTS
MACHINERY FOR RUSSIA WASHINGTON, May 7. It is learned from an authoritative source that the United States has halted all exports to Russia of , machinery and equipment useful in 'defence production. This policy has been adopted in spite of strenu- : ous diplomatic efforts by the Soviet to obtain export permits.
