SAVING TIME.
When using dried prunes, apricots or peaches, if there is not time to allow them to soak in water all night, try this plan: Simply wash the fruit and drain, and then place in a syrup made from two parts water and one of sugar boiled until j» thickens. Pour the syrup over the fruit while, it is hot, and leave to soak as long as you can. The frvtt will then, he plump and juicy.
