ILLEGAL PETROL SALES.
TAXI DRIVER FINED £200,

I'ines totalling £200 were imposed by Mr. La wry, S.M., on Frederick Mills McMillan, taxi driver, on live charges of making sales of motor spirit which were not in accordance with the regulations. The. quantity involved aggregated 723 gallons.
Detective-Sergeant Meiklejohn said defendant had petrol pumps as part of his business and used quantities in excess of his taxi license. He was previously before the Court on a similar' matter.
'lhe magistrate said the law had been deliberatelv flouted.
