AIR TRIPS ON CREDIT. AMERICAN EXPERIMENT. I ■ l A new idea for air travellers in the, form of a "fly now, pay later" credit 1 l>lan became HTwtive on the airlines of the United states early in .March,: according to word received here from I United Air Lines. Lnder its provisions, travellers are able, to buy air transportation on the! instalment plan, .just as for years they; have purchased automobiles, pianos, refrigerators and many another commodity.

According to the announcement, air!l travellers wishing to make a trip co>t-' ' ing .">0 dollars or more can do so without payment, then can repay on a monthlvi instalment schedule—provided, of course that routine advance credit inquiries >ho\v that the passenger will be able to! meet the monthly debt. |« The Travellers' Credit Association is supervising the system and designating! "lie or two more '.>anks in key cities of', the Lnited States to serve as depositor-' ies which lend money and collect the' instalments. j Airline officials have, predicted that the credit plan will result in not only a substantial increase in air travel, but! will also open an entirely new l market to the air transportation! industry.
