Allies Repulse German Mechanised Units. United Tress Association.—Copyright. LONDON*, April 17. German armoured columns which crossed the Yistritsa River, west of Mount Olympus, arc battling against Greek and British forces near Grevena, according to last night's Greek communique. It is admitted that the enemy has captured the towns of Kiaffe and Goritz. south of Konitza, across the Albanian frontier.
The communique also stated that th< Germans near CJrevena were trying i< advance to Kalabaka, 3d miles" to*" tb< south. In i lie heights around Kozliani the Germans arc pressing toward Rali akmon.
The Athens radio, qttotinj; the Greek Press Ministry, says: -The battle whiili began in western .Macedonia on Monday is now in full progress. The German, after a slight push to the westward ■•!•. Monday, attempted a further advalicon Tuesday, using very considerableforces supported fmm the air. Th.Greek Army, which bore the brunt of the attack, inflicted serious losses and took up new positions in good order, without lo>s. ■■r.riti>!i and Imperial forces cooperating with the Greek army repul-<-d German mechanised units at maiivjioints and inflicted considerable damag.-.
