Nearly 10,000 pilgrims travelled from many parts r>f England to an fincienl shrine in Norfolk by special trains, ooSclies and motor cars. It was the first Catholic pil-rrimajre of Our Lady of Walsingham for 400 years, and was meant to recreate the shrine that was overthrown during the religious conflicts of the Reformation.
