SYDNEY. April 14. Living up to the good form he displayed in winning tiie St. Lester on Saturday. Lucrative won the Sydney Cup on the second day of the Australian Jockey Club's autumn meeting at llandwick to-day in convincing fashion in the course record time of 0.2(J9A for two miles. He was always ncaj the front and simply mode hacks of his opponents in the run to the post. lie was again ridden by Jl. \lcCarten. The surprising feature of the race was the forward running of the veteran Hope, who defeated Pandect tor second. Hope shaped badly in the Autumn Plate on Saturday, and few but the stable connections fancied him to-day. Veiled Threat. Mosaic and Katanga disappointed. Dollar fell and was killed. The Jockey. V. Pandect was a head away third, and Mosaic, who with Dashing Cavalier tailed the field in the running, was a poor fourth. Then followed Katanga. Binnia Hero and Veiled Threat.
