A poll to raise a special loan of £12,i)00 for the construction, furnishing and equipping of a new picture theatre at Huntly was held on Saturday, when the proposal was carried. The voting resulted :• —For the proposal, 221; apainst the proposal. 82. There were 10 informal vot'js.
